PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA: The Asia and Pacific Seed Association (APSA) and Haidian Seed Chamber of Commerce this week are hosting a delegation of international seed company managers on a Study Tour of vegetable seed research and production sites in China.
The tour — which includes visits to companies and state institutes in Shanghai, Shouguang, Xingtai and Beijing — began on October 10 and will conclude on October 16.
Delegates represent APSA member companies in China, India Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia and the Netherlands.
Some members of the delegation will stay on in China attend the Beijing Seed Congress 17-21 October.
On October 17, APSA with the China National Seed Trade Association (CNSTA) will hold a forum about Plant Variety Protection (PVP), which will provide regulatory updates for China and elsewhere in the region and world.
Members of APSA, CNSTA, and other registered delegates of the Beijing Seed Congress are welcome to attend the forum for free.
